Hayley grew up in Terre Haute and now lives in Plainfield. She attended Indiana State University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech pathology. She has gained experience with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, in clinic and school based settings. She is excited to be a part of a collaborative team and continue learning as a speech therapist.

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Rachel began her collegiate career at Indiana University, before eventually completing her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from Fort Hays State University. During her summers in undergrad, she was a summer camp counselor and worked with children from ages of 5 to 10 years old. While completing her clinical externship, she worked with preschoolers with ASD in a school setting. She has always enjoyed working with children and wanted to start her career where she would have the ability to make a difference in the lives of children. Though she did not previously have any prior experience with ABA, she wanted to push herself into learning something new. After completing her Master’s degree in Kansas, she wanted to move back home to Indy after graduation. While searching for jobs, she stumbled upon K1ds Count and liked the mission that the company advocates. K1ds Count values the importance of individualized therapy for each child, which was inline with her values, as well. She hopes to learn as much as possible as a new speech therapist. With this specific discipline there is a lot of knowledge to gain, and she has learned that K1ds Count provides many opportunities for a clinician to grow. She is also interested in the areas of swallowing/feeding, so she hopes to eventually gain more clinical skills with those topics as well. She enjoys spending time with family and friends now that she is back in Indiana, but also enjoys baking and traveling when she has the opportunity.

After growing up in Rogers, Arkansas, Brigitte attended Indiana University where she earned a degree in School Psychology. She then worked for Indianapolis Public Schools, as a school psychologist for six years, serving the student population through consultation with staff and parents, as well as providing individual and small group intervention and educational evaluations. One of her career goals is to become more involved with the local and national school psychology associations. She has always enjoyed cooking, mostly because she loves to eat! She also enjoys finding new trails to explore and going to the movies.

Keeley grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She then went on to receive her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Her passion for working with kids stems from working multiple summers at camps for children with different diagnoses and abilities as a lifeguard and activity staff. Previously to coming to K1ds Count, Keeley worked as an OT in a residential school. She has a passion for sensory regulation, inclusion of all abilities, and focusing on what individuals are capable of, not their limitations. She enjoys camping, kayaking, playing board games, and spending time with her family. Keeley is excited to learn from and collaborate with all of the amazing disciplines at K1ds Count!
Randa grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Randa enjoys gaining experience serving children with autism, and is looking forward to grow within K1ds Count!

Melanie is a lifelong “Brownsburgian”. She is currently attending University of Indianapolis studying Psychology. She gained her first experiences working with children with autism while working as an after care worker and volunteering as a Sunday School teacher. One day she would like to become a child psychologist and work with children, and their families, who have mental and physical disabilities. When not working, Melanie loves reading, writing and bike riding.

Anastasia grew up in both central Illinois and Kentucky, and now resides in downtown Indianapolis. She earned Education Specialist Degree, studying School Psychology, from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Her experience with children started when she was 13 years old. She babysat and nannied for a few families in her hometown. When she was of legal age to work she became a lifeguard, swim instructor, and day-camp counselor at the local YMCA. A handful of children involved at the YMCA had disabilities like autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, and ADHD. She moved to Tennessee for graduate school and worked as a reading interventionist for an Opportunity Zone public district. She also performed evaluations beneath a licensed school psychologist during that time, and she cannot imagine life without serving children and their families. Her hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, sewing, and embroidery. She also loves to run, hike, bike, kayak, travel, and see live music!

Born in Linton, Indiana, Sarah now resides in Indianapolis. She earned her Master’s in Educational Psychology, Education Specialist (Ed.S.), and Director of Exceptional Needs from Indiana University. Prior to joining K1ds Count Therapy, she had the opportunity to work with students with autism in the school setting by consulting with students, their families, and other school staff to design and implement educational plans. She has also enjoyed assessing, improving, and implementing classroom and school-wide programs for students with disabilities. Her career goal is to provide quality psychoeducational services to students and their families. In her free time she enjoys spending time on the lake, beach, or in a pool. She also enjoys reading and live music.

McKenzie, born in California, moved to Bloomington, Indiana with her family when she was 12 years old. A 2014 graduate of Indiana University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She’s always had a passion for working with children, serving as an assistant pre-school teacher and ice skating instructor while she attended IU. Her interest in working with children grew even more as she completed a semester-long internship at Children’s Therapy Center in Bloomington. Hoping to continue meaningful work with children, she found her place when she joined the Kids Count team in 2015. In her personal time, McKenzie loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She still likes to figure skate when her schedule permits.

Hillary grew up in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis. She attended school at the University of Southern Indiana where she earned her Master’s of Science degree in occupational therapy. She has provided OT services at K1ds Count since October 2016, and has enjoyed being a part of the company’s growth and enhanced ability to serve the Brownsburg community. She has experience working with newborns through teens diagnosed with sensory processing disorder, feeding difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHS, William’s syndrome, various psychiatric diagnoses (ODD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, reactive-attachment disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors), and learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, cognitive delay). Hillary places great importance on the utilization of sensory integration techniques to enhance a child”s ability to successfully participate in his environment. She loves collaborating with families, colleagues, and other K1ds Count professionals in order to facilitate the greatest progress for each child’s journey.

Wendy grew up in Hobart, Indiana and currently resides in Jamestown. She attended Purdue University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Previously, she had worked part-time as a developmental therapist with the First Steps program and had done direct therapy with a few clients with autism. She also spent time as a teacher with the Headstart program, where she had a child with autism in her classroom. One of her career goals is to continue learning more about ABA in order to help her clients succeed. She enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.

Iris grew up in Chicago then moved to Bloomington, Indiana to attend Indiana University where she received her BS in Business. She currently resides in Bargersville, Indiana. Iris has extensive experience working with children. She spent three years as an ABA therapist, PM, BCaBA, seven more years as a lead teacher at Montessori Preschool, and nine years in leadership with children’s ministry. After working with many children, she found she was drawn to children who needed a voice, which brought her to K1ds Count. In her spare time, Iris loves being with her family, and enjoys baking and photography.

Brittni grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Avon. She attended IUPUI where she earned her degree in Business. Until the past few years, she hadn’t had any experience with children with autism. However, became interested when a family member was diagnosed on the Spectrum. That, combined with the small family atmosphere, is what led her to K1ds Count after spending her entire career in corporate America. Someday she would like to own her own business, and she enjoys being with friends and family, going to NFL games, and golfing in her spare time.

Her young son has an Autism Diagnosis of ASD which is what made her consider working the field of ABA. Born and raised in central Indiana, Toni grew up in Indianapolis, and currently resides in Greenwood. She attended Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She previously worked with a non-profit organization in Georgia, for medically fragile children, called DreamHouse for Kids. She managed the education department, focusing on generating classroom and online education required for caretakers and parents in order to allow medically fragile children to remain in the home environment instead of institutionalized. She discovered K1ds Count after relocating back to Indianapolis after 15 years. Being semi-retired, her career goal is to provide service which will increase and improve the quality of life for all those impacted by K1ds Count. In her spare-time, she volunteers at her church, enjoys books about politics and religion, volunteers for events that honor our military veterans’ lives, and she spend as much time as possible with her granddaughter Emma.

After spending time working at a retirement community as a Recreational Therapist, she decided to switch paths that would allow her to work with children. Lexy began working as an ABA therapist and then completed master’s degree in ABA at Ball State. Lexy is now a BCBA, and she looks forward to continuing to help children and families. Outside of K1ds Count, he enjoys cooking/baking, spending time with family and friends!

Wesley grew up, and currently resides, in Crawfordsville. She attended Ivy Tech Community College, studying Dental Assisting. Her previous experience working with a child with autism, a family member, drove her to seek a, “more rewarding career” where she could work with children and make a difference. Her goal is to continue her career as an RBT, and eventually go back to school to get a degree in the field. In her spare time, she enjoys, spending time with her kids and going to see musicals. She’s an animal lover and enjoys doing crafts, hiking, reading, and cooking with her kids.
Emily is originally from Missouri, but has spent most of her life in Indiana. She graduated high school in 2009 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2013. While Emily enjoyed teaching, she always felt something was missing. With being a special needs math tutor in high school as well as having multiple family members with disabilities, it gave her the idea to look into special education programs. During her second year teaching, Emily had a student with ASD, and her student’s parents credited his success on Applied Behavior Analysis. Emily researched ABA and decided to look for jobs within the field at the end of the school year and, as they say, the rest is history. Emily has been a Registered Behavior Technician since January 2016 and holds a master’s degree in ABA through Ball State a goal of becoming a BCBA. Emily loves working with the children on a personalized level and likes seeing the growth they make on a day-to-day basis. She believes the best part of ABA is seeing children acquire new skills that will help them with their daily lives and comparing their growth from their first days all the way to the present – it can be like night and day! Emily looks forward to continuing her career with K1ds Count!

Kelsey is an Indiana native who grew up just north of Indianapolis in Fishers. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University, continued on to receive her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from University of Indianapolis, and currently resides in Indianapolis. During her time in grad school, she worked a home-based program with a teenager with autism, targeting functional daily living skills, as well as the integration of sensory-based activities to promote regulation for increased success in his daily life. This experience helped her discover her passion for children, and helping people live their best lives, which is why she decided to become a pediatric occupational therapist. She joined K1ds Count’s because of the clear dedication to its clientele, community, and employees. Kelsey’s goal is to become an experienced occupational therapist who serves as a role model to young therapists, molding the future of occupational therapy through her own experience and skills. She loves reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.

Lisa was born in New Zealand, and at age 12 moved with her family to Goshen, Indiana. Lisa did her undergraduate studies at Purdue University, and graduate studies at Indiana State University. After graduating with a degree in school psychology, Lisa worked in Lafayette, Indiana for 6 years as a full-time school psychologist, until her family relocated to Indianapolis. Lisa and her husband Drew became foster parents in August of 2017. They currently have two biological sons ages 6 and 8, as well as two foster sons ages 6 and 3. They stay busy with the boys’ sports and activities!

Dr. Sarah grew up in rural Indiana prior to moving to the Indianapolis area where she currently resides. She attended Indiana State University, as well as Louisiana State University’s School of Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She began graduate school in 2010, with intent to work with children and families in mental health, including youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism. At Indiana State University, she worked extensively with youth suspected of having Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related disorders. Working in New Orleans for 5 years, prior to joining our team, she gained specialized education and training in Infant Mental Health, parent-child attachment, and those who have experienced child abuse/neglect or trauma. Young children, and persons with disabilities, are particularly vulnerable to potential maltreatment, exploitation, or traumatic stressors, and she enjoys assisting children and families to enhance their strengths, grow closer in relationships, and learn new skills. Though she is not specifically trained in ABA, her doctoral training in clinical psychology relies on principles of human behavior and cognition. She frequently uses behavioral interventions when providing mental health treatment to children and teaching effective parent behavioral skills to caregivers. She is an early career psychologist and loves the field of pediatric health care. After transitioning back to Indiana, her career goals are to contribute to, and expand mental health services for, children and their caregivers in the Hoosier state. She plans to expand on her passion for strengthening parent-child attachment, preventing child maltreatment, and helping caregivers understand and respond to child behaviors. Using the most current research and best practices, she strives to recognize warning signs and prevent suicide. Broadly speaking, she hopes to have a small impact to lessen human suffering and conversely promote healing and healthy relationships. Besides working directly with families, she enjoys training other professionals and teaching the community about trauma-informed health care and schools. Lastly, in her career she would like to contribute to psychology students’ education and training to further social and behavioral sciences. She loves nature and animals. Her family traditions include hiking in her backyard as well as Indiana’s beautiful state parks. Being back in Indiana, she spends much time with family, especially her niece (age 2) and nephew (age 4). She enjoys creative practices and the satisfaction of completing artistic projects. She strives to practice what she teaches by regularly engaging in self-care. She is an enthusiastic singer in the privacy of her kitchen and shower, and believes that coffee is one of her most important food groups. Dr. Sarah leads our Mental Health Services department in our clinics and also helps to support out mental health services in our school based programs.
Lead Senior Behavior Analyst
Amy is a licensed teacher and received her master’s in ABA therapy from Ball State. She completed her student teaching on a reservation and has worked with children with autism at a residential school as well as in several clinic based settings. Amy’s strengths include creating individualized behavior intervention plans, collaborating with other disciplines, and communicating and teaching therapists and families about behavioral strategies. Amy oversees all behavioral service programs at K1ds Count, including clinic, home, community, and school based services. She also helps to lead parent and community training as well as supervision of our student clinicians. In addition, recently, Amy has had the opportunity to integrate ABA into 6 charter schools in the Indianapolis area.

Randa grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Randa enjoys gaining experience serving children with autism, and is looking forward to grow within K1ds Count!

After growing up in Rogers, Arkansas, Brigitte attended Indiana University where she earned a degree in School Psychology. She then worked for Indianapolis Public Schools, as a school psychologist for six years, serving the student population through consultation with staff and parents, as well as providing individual and small group intervention and educational evaluations. One of her career goals is to become more involved with the local and national school psychology associations. She has always enjoyed cooking, mostly because she loves to eat! She also enjoys finding new trails to explore and going to the movies.

Keeley grew up in Carmel, Indiana. She obtained a Bachelor degree in Therapeutic Recreation from The University of Tennessee-Knoxville. She then went on to receive her Master of Occupational Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. Her passion for working with kids stems from working multiple summers at camps for children with different diagnoses and abilities as a lifeguard and activity staff. Previously to coming to K1ds Count, Keeley worked as an OT in a residential school. She has a passion for sensory regulation, inclusion of all abilities, and focusing on what individuals are capable of, not their limitations. She enjoys camping, kayaking, playing board games, and spending time with her family. Keeley is excited to learn from and collaborate with all of the amazing disciplines at K1ds Count!
Randa grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Randa enjoys gaining experience serving children with autism, and is looking forward to grow within K1ds Count!

Melanie is a lifelong “Brownsburgian”. She is currently attending University of Indianapolis studying Psychology. She gained her first experiences working with children with autism while working as an after care worker and volunteering as a Sunday School teacher. One day she would like to become a child psychologist and work with children, and their families, who have mental and physical disabilities. When not working, Melanie loves reading, writing and bike riding.

Anastasia grew up in both central Illinois and Kentucky, and now resides in downtown Indianapolis. She earned Education Specialist Degree, studying School Psychology, from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Her experience with children started when she was 13 years old. She babysat and nannied for a few families in her hometown. When she was of legal age to work she became a lifeguard, swim instructor, and day-camp counselor at the local YMCA. A handful of children involved at the YMCA had disabilities like autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, and ADHD. She moved to Tennessee for graduate school and worked as a reading interventionist for an Opportunity Zone public district. She also performed evaluations beneath a licensed school psychologist during that time, and she cannot imagine life without serving children and their families. Her hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, sewing, and embroidery. She also loves to run, hike, bike, kayak, travel, and see live music!

Born and raised in Indianapolis, Rachel began her collegiate career at Indiana University, before eventually completing her Master’s in Speech Language Pathology from Fort Hays State University. During her summers in undergrad, she was a summer camp counselor and worked with children from ages of 5 to 10 years old. While completing her clinical externship, she worked with preschoolers with ASD in a school setting. She has always enjoyed working with children and wanted to start her career where she would have the ability to make a difference in the lives of children. Though she did not previously have any prior experience with ABA, she wanted to push herself into learning something new. After completing her Master’s degree in Kansas, she wanted to move back home to Indy after graduation. While searching for jobs, she stumbled upon K1ds Count and liked the mission that the company advocates. K1ds Count values the importance of individualized therapy for each child, which was inline with her values, as well. She hopes to learn as much as possible as a new speech therapist. With this specific discipline there is a lot of knowledge to gain, and she has learned that K1ds Count provides many opportunities for a clinician to grow. She is also interested in the areas of swallowing/feeding, so she hopes to eventually gain more clinical skills with those topics as well. She enjoys spending time with family and friends now that she is back in Indiana, but also enjoys baking and traveling when she has the opportunity.

McKenzie, born in California, moved to Bloomington, Indiana with her family when she was 12 years old. A 2014 graduate of Indiana University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She’s always had a passion for working with children, serving as an assistant pre-school teacher and ice skating instructor while she attended IU. Her interest in working with children grew even more as she completed a semester-long internship at Children’s Therapy Center in Bloomington. Hoping to continue meaningful work with children, she found her place when she joined the Kids Count team in 2015. In her personal time, McKenzie loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She still likes to figure skate when her schedule permits.

Caroline was born and raised in Brownsburg, and currently resides in Carmel. She is a Hoosier through and through and received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Indiana University in Speech Language Pathology. She is very excited to be working in her hometown. Caroline was drawn to a career at K1ds Count Therapy because of the opportunity to learn and grow from a team of speech therapists, as well as other professions. Her career goal is to continue working with the pediatric population, and she is interested in learning more about pediatric feeding and swallowing. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, trying out new restaurants, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

Hillary grew up in Franklin Township on the southeast side of Indianapolis. She attended school at the University of Southern Indiana where she earned her Master’s of Science degree in occupational therapy. She has provided OT services at K1ds Count since October 2016, and has enjoyed being a part of the company’s growth and enhanced ability to serve the Brownsburg community. She has experience working with newborns through teens diagnosed with sensory processing disorder, feeding difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, ADHS, William’s syndrome, various psychiatric diagnoses (ODD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, reactive-attachment disorder, body-focused repetitive behaviors), and learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, cognitive delay). Hillary places great importance on the utilization of sensory integration techniques to enhance a child”s ability to successfully participate in his environment. She loves collaborating with families, colleagues, and other K1ds Count professionals in order to facilitate the greatest progress for each child’s journey.

Neely grew up in Tennessee and currently resides in Zionsville. She studied Physical Therapy at ETSU where she earned her BSPT. Neely has experience working with children in physical therapy for gross motor delay. One of her career goals is to learn about motor planning deficiencies in ASD. Wendy grew up in Hobart, Indiana and currently resides in Jamestown. She attended Purdue University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Previously, she had worked part-time as a developmental therapist with the First Steps program and had done direct therapy with a few clients with autism. She also spent time as a teacher with the Headstart program, where she had a child with autism in her classroom. One of her career goals is to continue learning more about ABA in order to help her clients succeed. She enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.

Iris grew up in Chicago then moved to Bloomington, Indiana to attend Indiana University where she received her BS in Business. She currently resides in Bargersville, Indiana. Iris has extensive experience working with children. She spent three years as an ABA therapist, PM, BCaBA, seven more years as a lead teacher at Montessori Preschool, and nine years in leadership with children’s ministry. After working with many children, she found she was drawn to children who needed a voice, which brought her to K1ds Count. In her spare time, Iris loves being with her family, and enjoys baking and photography.

Brittni grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania, and currently resides in Avon. She attended IUPUI where she earned her degree in Business. Until the past few years, she hadn’t had any experience with children with autism. However, became interested when a family member was diagnosed on the Spectrum. That, combined with the small family atmosphere, is what led her to K1ds Count after spending her entire career in corporate America. Someday she would like to own her own business, and she enjoys being with friends and family, going to NFL games, and golfing in her spare time.

Her young son has an Autism Diagnosis of ASD which is what made her consider working the field of ABA. Born and raised in central Indiana, Toni grew up in Indianapolis, and currently resides in Greenwood. She attended Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She previously worked with a non-profit organization in Georgia, for medically fragile children, called DreamHouse for Kids. She managed the education department, focusing on generating classroom and online education required for caretakers and parents in order to allow medically fragile children to remain in the home environment instead of institutionalized. She discovered K1ds Count after relocating back to Indianapolis after 15 years. Being semi-retired, her career goal is to provide service which will increase and improve the quality of life for all those impacted by K1ds Count. In her spare-time, she volunteers at her church, enjoys books about politics and religion, volunteers for events that honor our military veterans’ lives, and she spend as much time as possible with her granddaughter Emma.

Lexy grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Recreational Therapy. She spent time working with adults and adolescents in inpatient psych after graduation. After spending time working at a retirement community as a Recreational Therapist, she decided to switch paths that would allow her to work with children. Lexy began working as an ABA therapist and then completed master’s degree in ABA at Ball State. Lexy is now a BCBA, and she looks forward to continuing to help children and families. Outside of K1ds Count, he enjoys cooking/baking, spending time with family and friends!

Wesley grew up, and currently resides, in Crawfordsville. She attended Ivy Tech Community College, studying Dental Assisting. Her previous experience working with a child with autism, a family member, drove her to seek a, “more rewarding career” where she could work with children and make a difference. Her goal is to continue her career as an RBT, and eventually go back to school to get a degree in the field. In her spare time, she enjoys, spending time with her kids and going to see musicals. She’s an animal lover and enjoys doing crafts, hiking, reading, and cooking with her kids.
Emily is originally from Missouri, but has spent most of her life in Indiana. She graduated high school in 2009 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2013. While Emily enjoyed teaching, she always felt something was missing. With being a special needs math tutor in high school as well as having multiple family members with disabilities, it gave her the idea to look into special education programs. During her second year teaching, Emily had a student with ASD, and her student’s parents credited his success on Applied Behavior Analysis. Emily researched ABA and decided to look for jobs within the field at the end of the school year and, as they say, the rest is history. Emily has been a Registered Behavior Technician since January 2016 and holds a master’s degree in ABA through Ball State a goal of becoming a BCBA. Emily loves working with the children on a personalized level and likes seeing the growth they make on a day-to-day basis. She believes the best part of ABA is seeing children acquire new skills that will help them with their daily lives and comparing their growth from their first days all the way to the present – it can be like night and day! Emily looks forward to continuing her career with K1ds Count!

Her love for the field of ABA stemmed from her own parenting experience combined with her experience in photography, where she has a client of more than five years with ASD. Kelsey is an Indiana native who grew up just north of Indianapolis in Fishers. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Indiana University, continued on to receive her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from University of Indianapolis, and currently resides in Indianapolis. During her time in grad school, she worked a home-based program with a teenager with autism, targeting functional daily living skills, as well as the integration of sensory-based activities to promote regulation for increased success in his daily life. This experience helped her discover her passion for children, and helping people live their best lives, which is why she decided to become a pediatric occupational therapist. She joined K1ds Count’s because of the clear dedication to its clientele, community, and employees. Kelsey’s goal is to become an experienced occupational therapist who serves as a role model to young therapists, molding the future of occupational therapy through her own experience and skills. She loves reading, playing with her dog, and spending time with friends and family.

Lisa was born in New Zealand, and at age 12 moved with her family to Goshen, Indiana. Lisa did her undergraduate studies at Purdue University, and graduate studies at Indiana State University. After graduating with a degree in school psychology, Lisa worked in Lafayette, Indiana for 6 years as a full-time school psychologist, until her family relocated to Indianapolis. Lisa and her husband Drew became foster parents in August of 2017. They currently have two biological sons ages 6 and 8, as well as two foster sons ages 6 and 3. They stay busy with the boys’ sports and activities!

Kristen grew up in Noblesville, IN. She attended Ball State University where she received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and a minor in Spanish. Kristen discovered her passion for working with children during her undergraduate and graduate level clinicals at the Ball State University Clinic and many years of volunteering through Special Olympics throughout middle school, high school and college. In her free time, Kristen enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends. Kristen’s goal is to help children achieve their full potential with communication and social interactions within their community.

Dr. Sarah grew up in rural Indiana prior to moving to the Indianapolis area where she currently resides. She attended Indiana State University, as well as Louisiana State University’s School of Medicine where she earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She began graduate school in 2010, with intent to work with children and families in mental health, including youth with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism. At Indiana State University, she worked extensively with youth suspected of having Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and related disorders. Working in New Orleans for 5 years, prior to joining our team, she gained specialized education and training in Infant Mental Health, parent-child attachment, and those who have experienced child abuse/neglect or trauma. Young children, and persons with disabilities, are particularly vulnerable to potential maltreatment, exploitation, or traumatic stressors, and she enjoys assisting children and families to enhance their strengths, grow closer in relationships, and learn new skills. Though she is not specifically trained in ABA, her doctoral training in clinical psychology relies on principles of human behavior and cognition. She frequently uses behavioral interventions when providing mental health treatment to children and teaching effective parent behavioral skills to caregivers. She is an early career psychologist and loves the field of pediatric health care. After transitioning back to Indiana, her career goals are to contribute to, and expand mental health services for, children and their caregivers in the Hoosier state. She plans to expand on her passion for strengthening parent-child attachment, preventing child maltreatment, and helping caregivers understand and respond to child behaviors. Using the most current research and best practices, she strives to recognize warning signs and prevent suicide. Broadly speaking, she hopes to have a small impact to lessen human suffering and conversely promote healing and healthy relationships. Besides working directly with families, she enjoys training other professionals and teaching the community about trauma-informed health care and schools. Lastly, in her career she would like to contribute to psychology students’ education and training to further social and behavioral sciences. She loves nature and animals. Her family traditions include hiking in her backyard as well as Indiana’s beautiful state parks. Being back in Indiana, she spends much time with family, especially her niece (age 2) and nephew (age 4). She enjoys creative practices and the satisfaction of completing artistic projects. She strives to practice what she teaches by regularly engaging in self-care. She is an enthusiastic singer in the privacy of her kitchen and shower, and believes that coffee is one of her most important food groups. Dr. Sarah leads our Mental Health Services department in our clinics and also helps to support out mental health services in our school based programs.
Lead Senior Behavior Analyst
Amy is a licensed teacher and received her master’s in ABA therapy from Ball State. She completed her student teaching on a reservation and has worked with children with autism at a residential school as well as in several clinic based settings. Amy’s strengths include creating individualized behavior intervention plans, collaborating with other disciplines, and communicating and teaching therapists and families about behavioral strategies. Amy oversees all behavioral service programs at K1ds Count, including clinic, home, community, and school based services. She also helps to lead parent and community training as well as supervision of our student clinicians. In addition, recently, Amy has had the opportunity to integrate ABA into 6 charter schools in the Indianapolis area.

She has also enjoyed assessing, improving, and implementing classroom and school-wide programs for students with disabilities. Her career goal is to provide quality psychoeducational services to students and their families. In her free time she enjoys spending time on the lake, beach, or in a pool. She also enjoys reading and live music.
Randa grew up on the south side of Indianapolis, and graduated from the University of Southern Indiana in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Randa enjoys gaining experience serving children with autism, and is looking forward to grow within K1ds Count!

Melanie is a lifelong “Brownsburgian”. She is currently attending University of Indianapolis studying Psychology. She gained her first experiences working with children with autism while working as an after care worker and volunteering as a Sunday School teacher. One day she would like to become a child psychologist and work with children, and their families, who have mental and physical disabilities. When not working, Melanie loves reading, writing and bike riding.

After growing up in Rogers, Arkansas, Brigitte attended Indiana University where she earned a degree in School Psychology. She then worked for Indianapolis Public Schools, as a school psychologist for six years, serving the student population through consultation with staff and parents, as well as providing individual and small group intervention and educational evaluations. One of her career goals is to become more involved with the local and national school psychology associations. She has always enjoyed cooking, mostly because she loves to eat! She also enjoys finding new trails to explore and going to the movies.

Anastasia grew up in both central Illinois and Kentucky, and now resides in downtown Indianapolis. She earned Education Specialist Degree, studying School Psychology, from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Her experience with children started when she was 13 years old. She babysat and nannied for a few families in her hometown. When she was of legal age to work she became a lifeguard, swim instructor, and day-camp counselor at the local YMCA. A handful of children involved at the YMCA had disabilities like autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, and ADHD. She moved to Tennessee for graduate school and worked as a reading interventionist for an Opportunity Zone public district. She also performed evaluations beneath a licensed school psychologist during that time, and she cannot imagine life without serving children and their families. Her hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, sewing, and embroidery. She also loves to run, hike, bike, kayak, travel, and see live music!

Lisa was born in New Zealand, and at age 12 moved with her family to Goshen, Indiana. Lisa did her undergraduate studies at Purdue University, and graduate studies at Indiana State University. After graduating with a degree in school psychology, Lisa worked in Lafayette, Indiana for 6 years as a full-time school psychologist, until her family relocated to Indianapolis. Lisa and her husband Drew became foster parents in August of 2017. They currently have two biological sons ages 6 and 8, as well as two foster sons ages 6 and 3. They stay busy with the boys’ sports and activities!

Emily is originally from Missouri, but has spent most of her life in Indiana. She graduated high school in 2009 and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in 2013. While Emily enjoyed teaching, she always felt something was missing. With being a special needs math tutor in high school as well as having multiple family members with disabilities, it gave her the idea to look into special education programs. During her second year teaching, Emily had a student with ASD, and her student’s parents credited his success on Applied Behavior Analysis. Emily researched ABA and decided to look for jobs within the field at the end of the school year and, as they say, the rest is history. Emily has been a Registered Behavior Technician since January 2016 and holds a master’s degree in ABA through Ball State a goal of becoming a BCBA. Emily loves working with the children on a personalized level and likes seeing the growth they make on a day-to-day basis. She believes the best part of ABA is seeing children acquire new skills that will help them with their daily lives and comparing their growth from their first days all the way to the present – it can be like night and day! Emily looks forward to continuing her career with K1ds Count!

She has worked with children all her life. When she was younger she babysat children, and started pursuing elementary education as she got older. She became interested in ABA because of her passion for help children. Her career goal is to continue to grow with us here at K1ds Count and continue to take on more responsibility. When she is home, she enjoys working on her house, reading books, and watching tv.

McKenzie, born in California, moved to Bloomington, Indiana with her family when she was 12 years old. A 2014 graduate of Indiana University, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. She’s always had a passion for working with children, serving as an assistant pre-school teacher and ice skating instructor while she attended IU. Her interest in working with children grew even more as she completed a semester-long internship at Children’s Therapy Center in Bloomington. Hoping to continue meaningful work with children, she found her place when she joined the Kids Count team in 2015. In her personal time, McKenzie loves spending time with her husband and daughter. She still likes to figure skate when her schedule permits.

Wendy grew up in Hobart, Indiana and currently resides in Jamestown. She attended Purdue University where she earned her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education. Previously, she had worked part-time as a developmental therapist with the First Steps program and had done direct therapy with a few clients with autism. She also spent time as a teacher with the Headstart program, where she had a child with autism in her classroom. One of her career goals is to continue learning more about ABA in order to help her clients succeed. She enjoys camping and spending time with family and friends in her spare time.

Her young son has an Autism Diagnosis of ASD which is what made her consider working the field of ABA. Her hobbies include spending time with family, friends, never taking life too serious, cooking, shopping and going on vacations.

Born and raised in central Indiana, Toni grew up in Indianapolis, and currently resides in Greenwood. She attended Indiana University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education. She previously worked with a non-profit organization in Georgia, for medically fragile children, called DreamHouse for Kids. She managed the education department, focusing on generating classroom and online education required for caretakers and parents in order to allow medically fragile children to remain in the home environment instead of institutionalized. She discovered K1ds Count after relocating back to Indianapolis after 15 years. Being semi-retired, her career goal is to provide service which will increase and improve the quality of life for all those impacted by K1ds Count. In her spare-time, she volunteers at her church, enjoys books about politics and religion, volunteers for events that honor our military veterans’ lives, and she spend as much time as possible with her granddaughter Emma.

Brittney grew up in Indianapolis and currently resides in Brownsburg. She earned her degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech Community College in Evansville, Indiana. Her love for the field of ABA stemmed from her own parenting experience combined with her experience in photography, where she has a client of more than five years with ASD. She is very passionate about God and her faith. She adores spending time with her husband, Dion, and their beautiful daughter Kennedi! In addition, in her free time, she enjoys photography.

She enjoys sharing flowers and produce with co-workers, friends, and neighbors. Her husband and her is affectionately referred to as the “tomato people”. She has always had a passion for working with kids. She is currently a mom to two dogs and loves them to pieces. Some is very excited to spend many more years at K1ds Count and considers her coworkers family.
