LITTLE READERS & WRITERS CAMP

Little readers & writers camp is great for any little wordsmith or scribbler who needs a little more support sharing their stories in school! Guided by an Orton-Gillingham speech therapist and occupational therapist, Little Readers & Writers focuses on development of important literacy and handwriting skills! The Orton-Gillingham Academy describes the approach as a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. Children are encouraged to tap into their creativity and express themselves through storytelling and writing exercises. With a focus on inclusivity and individualized support, Little Readers & Writers camp empowers children with difficulties in reading, writing, and spelling are given the tools and strategies to overcome obstacles and embrace their unique abilities!
HUNGRY HANDS

Picky eating, food hurdles, or new food jitters? Hungry Hands focuses on food exploration using a variety of senses to promote increased tolerance of foods!Dive into a world of sensory food adventures and boost your food superhero skills! Guided by SOS-trained speech therapists and occupational therapists. Hungry hands supports children who have limited feeding repertoire, diets, or difficulty tolerating new foods by using sensory-based approach to food exploration and focus on increasing tolerance with new foods!
BUSY BODIES

Summer is knocking on the door, so let’s get those bodies moving and grooving! Say hello to Busy Bodies camp! It’s the ultimate summer activity for energetic kiddos who love bouncing around and learning about their bodies. By fostering a sense of curiosity and understanding about health, Busy Bodies camp empowers children to make healthy choices that can benefit them for a lifetime. Whether it’s through dance, sports, yoga, or simply playing outside, the camp instills in them the value of movement and its positive impact on their overall well-being. Our team of occupational therapists are sensory superheroes, gearing up to equip your child with a toolbox full of skills to take into the new school year. Let the fun begin!
ARTICULATION CAMP

In Articulation Camp, children will engage in fun and interactive activities designed to enhance their articulation skills. Through games and exercises tailored to their needs, participants will have the opportunity to practice making sounds in a supportive environment with one of our speech therapists. The speech therapist will provide guidance and encouragement, helping each child build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. Join the articulation camp in this exciting journey towards clearer and more confident communication!
AAC CAMP
Ages 4 – 6 | Tuesdays June 4- July 9, 2024 | 8:15am-9:15pm | $100
Children of all ages who utilize augmentative alternative communication (AAC) devices as a means of communication are invited to join the 2024 AAC Camp. AAC Camp is designed to empower children of all ages who rely on augmentative alternative communication to express themselves effectively. With the guidance of a skilled speech therapist, we will work together to unlock the power of communication and help every child find and strengthen their voice. No matter if your child uses an iPad or picture system, AAC Camp allows for every child to discover the endless possibilities that AAC devices can offer.
SUMMER SOCIAL GROUP

Children will have the opportunity to work on early and emerging communication skills in a fun and interactive way at Language & Learning Camp. Our speech gurus at KCT have games, fun activities, and brain exercises to boost your little one’s confidence and improve your child’s ability to express themselves and understand others.
