At K1ds Count Therapy, we pride ourselves in providing individualized programming designed to help every child reach his or her greatest potential. This includes offering different environments and settings to promote learning, and because of that, K1ds Count Therapy is proud to offer the SPOT ABA program where Speech, OT, and ABA come together to offer group ABA services in a classroom setting as a bridge from intensive ABA services to the traditional school setting.
SPOT offers focused, ABA services across several groups that are designed specifically based on each child’s skill level and area of need. Children will attend the group that most fits their individual needs, letting them progress at a pace that’s just right for them.
Skill areas addressed in SPOT include social skills such as conversation skills, interpersonal skills including recognizing others’ emotions, and flexibility in social play and toleration of peers. We also work on executive functioning skills such as self-regulation and impulse control, self-monitoring and self-management skills as well as planning and organizing strategies to promote success and independence in a school setting. Most importantly, we offer all of these things while having fun!
Our groups are led by qualified and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst. Also, because K1ds Count Therapy offers coordinated care across multiple disciplines, SPOT groups also receive assistance from our Speech and Occupational Therapists.
At K1ds Count Therapy, nothing is more important than helping each client reach their highest potential!
