At K1ds Count Therapy, our occupational therapy services include intervention/treatment sessions, regular re-assessments to outline progress or continued areas of focus, and discharge planning. Occupational therapy addresses performance skills (fine motor, gross motor, visual motor integration, cognition, sensory integration, and emotion regulation) that may be inhibiting achievement of age-appropriate milestones. Your child’s OT will communicate with you regularly to outline progress, provide suggestions for carryover and practice, and/or discuss potential changes to the treatment plan. Our OTs participate in regular in-service learning opportunities together, and value collaborating with KCT professionals of other disciplines to ensure clients receive well-rounded care.
Physical Therapy
KCT physical therapists provide expertise in movement, motor development, and body function. Physical Therapists incorporate play-based interventions to help make everyday activities easier, and maximize the potential to engage in social opportunities with peers. PT services include intervention/treatment sessions, regular re-assessments to outline progress or continued areas of focus, and discharge planning. PTs collaborate with parents and caregivers regularly to discuss areas of focus, outline progress, provide recommendations for carryover and practice. In addition, PTs collaborate with other professions, including KCT professionals of other disciplines, to ensure clients receive well-rounded care.
Developmental Therapy
KCT developmental therapists focus on the whole picture of a child’s development! They create, provide, and educate on learning opportunities within the home setting that facilitate a variety of skills including: social interaction, play, attention, communication, engagement, and physical abilities. Our DTs collaborate with other professionals on the child’s team to facilitate true interdisciplinary care.
