Anastasia grew up in both central Illinois and Kentucky, and now resides in downtown Indianapolis. She earned Education Specialist Degree, studying School Psychology, from University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. Her experience with children started when she was 13 years old. She babysat and nannied for a few families in her hometown. When she was of legal age to work she became a lifeguard, swim instructor, and day-camp counselor at the local YMCA. A handful of children involved at the YMCA had disabilities like autism spectrum disorder, hearing impairment, traumatic brain injury, and ADHD. She moved to Tennessee for graduate school and worked as a reading interventionist for an Opportunity Zone public district. She also performed evaluations beneath a licensed school psychologist during that time, and she cannot imagine life without serving children and their families. Her hobbies include reading, writing, drawing, sewing, and embroidery. She also loves to run, hike, bike, kayak, travel, and see live music!
